Biographical Info

Sophia Lin, MD, RDMS, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Clinical Pediatrics in the ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ (WCM) Department of Emergency Medicine. She currently serves as the Director of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound.

Dr. Lin is board-certified in emergency medicine and pediatrics. She graduated with her bachelor of arts degree in molecular and cellular biology from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Lin completed her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of California at San Francisco, and a second residency in emergency medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia & Cornell.

Dr. Lin has registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) certification and significant experience in developing and implementing ultrasound education programs for all levels of training, including within the Department of Emergency Medicine. She frequently presents and publishes on research related to point-of-care ultrasound.
